Blairgower

An oval hillock in NW Dumfries and Galloway, Blairgower rises to approximately 135m (442 feet) on the edge of the Galloway Forest, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) northwest of Millgrain Hill and a similar distance east of the Tannylaggie Bridge. This part of an extensive drumlin field, deposited beneath an ancient ice sheet which once covered this area. Its northern slopes are cloaked with plantation forest.
