Clydeford Bridge

(Clydeford Road Bridge)

A two-span road bridge carries the A763 road across the River Clyde between Carmyle (Glasgow City) and Cambuslang (South Lanarkshire). Opened in 1976, it comprises a concrete deck built on two parallel steel box girders, supported by central concrete columns rising from a single pier in the river bed. The bridge was designed by Strathclyde Regional Council and built by Murdoch & McKenzie.
