Station, Achnasheen

Achnasheen Railway Station (Gael: Achadh na Sìne) is located on the Kyle of Lochalsh Line at the head of Strath Bran, 8½ miles (14 km) east southeast of Kinlochewe and 17 miles (27 km) east southeast of Talladale in Highland. This remote station was built for the Dingwall & Skye Railway and was opened in 1870. It is preceded by Achanalt Railway Station, 6 miles (10 km) to the east northeast, and followed by Achnashellach, 12 miles (19 km) to the west southwest. Operated by ScotRail, Achnasheen Railway Station is unstaffed and was used by 3614 passengers (2009-10).
