A modern halt on the Larkhall Line in South Lanarkshire, Merryton Railway Station (referred to as Baile Mhèaraidh in Gaelic) is situated on the northern edge of the town of Larkhall, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) northwest of Meadowhill. It opened with the line in 2005 and comprises a solitary platform on a single-track line, together with a park-and-ride facility. Operated by ScotRail, Merryton Station is unstaffed and was used by 113,546 passengers per annum in 2015-16. It is preceded by Larkhall Railway Station, a half-mile (1 km) to the south, and followed by Chatelherault, 1½ miles (2.5 km) to the northwest.
