A location and landing point on the NE coast of the island of Great Cumbrae, Cumbrae Slip receives the ferry from Largs on the mainland of North Ayrshire, 1¼ miles (2 km) to the east northeast across the Firth of Clyde. The frequent roll-on-roll-off ferry service lands on a concrete ramp here, which is also the site of an associated car park and public conveniences. There is a connecting bus service to the island's main settlement, Millport, which lies 2½ miles (4 km) to the southwest.
