Dalmarnock Road Tunnel

A railway tunnel which was cut beneath Dalmarnock Road in 1896 for the Glasgow Central Railway. Located 2 miles (3 km) southeast of the city centre, it extends to 700m (2298 feet), linking Bridgeton Railway Station and Dalmarnock Railway Station. This is the first of continuous series of tunnels which now carries the Argyle Line beneath Central Glasgow.
