A short railway tunnel in the City of Edinburgh, St. Margaret's (or Meadowbank) Tunnel takes the East Coast Main Line beneath London Road, in front of Meadowbank Stadium, 1¼ miles / 2 km east of Waverley Station. It is 58.5m (192 feet) in length. A train derailed immediately to the west on 14th March 1914 and ploughed through the tunnel, although without serious injury to passengers or crew.
