Myres Hill Wind Farm

A small wind farm located next to the National Wind Energy Centre on Myres Hill in East Renfrewshire. It comprises two NEG Micon NM52 turbines each generating 0.95 megawatts (MW), giving a total generation capacity of 1.9 MW. Commissioned in December 2001, the farm was developed by Vestas and the National Engineering Laboratory in conjunction with Forestry and Land Scotland. It is entirely surrounded by the much larger Whitelee Wind Farm.
