Balquhindachy Wind Farm

A small wind farm on the top of the Hill of Balquhindachy in Buchan (Aberdeenshire), Balquhindachy lies a mile (1.5 km) north northwest of Cairnorrie and 3 miles (5 km) north of Methlick. Commissioned in 2007, the site was developed by Greenspan Electric and comprises three Vestas V52 turbines, each generating 850 kW, giving a total output of 2.55 MW. The turbines are 75m (246 feet) in height to blade tip, with a diameter of 52m (171 feet).
