Dedridge Pond

A small body of water on the Dedridge Burn in Livingston (West Lothian), Dedridge Pond is located a quarter-mile (0.4 km) south southeast of The Centre. It was built as a mill pond which held water used to power a trashing mill at Newfarm (retained as part of Lanthorn Community Centre) and is retained by an earthen bank at its northern end. Extending to around 0.3 ha (0.8 acres), the pond contains two small islands. It is surrounded by the Dedridge Burn Plantation, which extends to the south. There is a nature trail here.
