Lachlan Mor MacLean Monument

A roadside cairn at Aoradh in the N of Islay in Argyll and Bute, the Lachlan Mor MacLean Monument lies on the north side of the B8017 road, and to the southwest of Loch Gruinart. It marks the spot where Sir Lachlan Mor Maclean of Duart fell in the Battle of Traigh Ghruinneart on 5th August 1598.
