Leorin River

The Leorin River forms from the Camag nan Abhainn, which has its source in the Leorin Lochs in the S of the island of Islay (Argyll and Bute). It flows west for 1⅔ miles (2.7 km) to just beyond the A846 road where it is joined by the Abhainn Airigh Bhaile-chaluim to form the Kintra River. Its course was much modified in the earlier 19th C. to supply water to the Port Ellen Distillery.
