The larger of a pair of shallow lochans in the SE coast of Islay in the Inner Hebrides, Loch nan Digl lies to the east of Loch nan Diol, 1½ miles (2.5 km) northeast of Ardbeg. It receives water from Loch nan Diol and drains through a short stream into the sea at the head of Loch a' Chnuic. The remains of Caisteal Mhic Rhuairidh lie on an islet in the loch, which extends to 2.2 ha / 5.4 acres.
