Pine Cone Point

A viewpoint and folly within the Craigvinean Forest, Perth and Kinross, Pine Cone Point lies 1½ miles (2.5 km) west of Dunkeld, at the end of a forest track which rises from the River Braan and the Hermitage. Comprising an arched wooden shelter in the form of a recumbent pine cone, which was constructed in wood in 2013, designed by Birnam-based architect Robin Baker and built by Toby Greene. There are fine views over Strath Tay.
