Ernespie Hill

A well-defined drumlin in the S of Dumfries and Galloway, Ernespie Hill rises to 101m (331 feet) 1¼ miles (2 km) north northeast of Castle Douglas. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, glacial features deposited under an ancient ice sheet and aligned N-S indicating the direction of flow.
