Mid Hill

A prominent summit located amongst agricultural land to the east of Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway, Mid Hill rises to 89m (294 feet) immediately to the south of the A745 road. It is formed on glacial till and interpreted as a drumlin, one of a number in this area, deposited under an ancient ice sheet. There are other summits with the same name a mile (1.5 km) to the northwest and 5 miles (8 km) to the south..
