Nether Hill

A low oval summit in S Dumfries and Galloway, Nether Hill rises to 70m (230 feet) immediately to the west of Torrs Hill, a half-mile (0.8 km) southeast of Castle Douglas. Identified as a drumlin, which formed beneath an ancient ice sheet and is aligned NNW-SSE indicating the direction of flow. This summit is not named on modern Ordnance Survey maps. There is another Nether Hill 5½ miles (9 km) to the east.
