Selm Muir Reservoir

A disused little reservoir in West Lothian, Selm Muir lies within a plantation woodland of the same name, ¾ mile (1.2 km) southeast of Oakbank. It extends to 1.2 ha (3 acres) and is retained by an earth embankment dam running the entire length of its northwestern and southwestern sides. It was developed by Midlothian County Council, which was the local authority responsible for this area at the time.
