The remains of St Kentigern's church and tower in St. Mungo's Churchyard, Penicuik

The ruined former parish church lies in the graveyard of Penicuik Trinity Community Church, accessible through a gate at the corner of Penicuik High Street and Kirkhill Road. What remains is a complete three-storey square bell-tower with a slated roof, attached to an unroofed section of the sanctuary. Adjacent is the mausoleum of the Clerks of Penicuik. Both were notified as a Scheduled Ancient Monument in 1961.
