Zoology Museum

A small museum which maintains the zoological collections of the University of Aberdeen. It is open to the public and is located in the Zoology Building on the main University Campus in Old Aberdeen. The collection includes a single egg from the extinct Great Auk, bird specimens used by the noted John James Audubon (1785 - 1851) in the production of his monograph The Birds of America and the earliest specimens of deep-water coral from British waters, collected by fishermen between the islands of Eigg and Rum in 1845.
