King James VI Golf Course

The King James VI Golf Club was formed in Perth in 1858 and the course moved from its first location on the North Inch to Moncreiffe Island in 1897, where it remains today. Named in honour of the Scottish monarch who encouraged the game of golf, the 6038 yard (5521m) course was designed by Old Tom Morris (1821 - 1906) and is one of a very few in the world occupying a riverine island.
