Loch of Mey

A shallow loch close to the north coast of Caithness, the Loch of Mey lies a quarter-mile (0.5 km) south of Scarfskerry, a similar distance east of Rattar and a mile (1.5 km) northwest of Mey. Known for its wading birds and wild-fowl, a hide here is operated by the Scottish Ornithologists' Club.
