Kirkibost, an island of North Uist parish, Outer Hebrides, Inverness-shire, adjacent to the SW side of North Uist Island, and insulated only at high water. With a length of 1 mile, and inconsiderable breadth, it chiefly consists of low land, which, once fertile and very productive, has suffered much devastation by the action of westerly gales. Pop.
