Garroch Head, a headland, 210 feet high, at the southern extremity of Bute island, Buteshire, 23/8 miles W of Little Cumbrae. The peninsula that it terminates is joined to the rest of Kingarth parish by a low sandy isthmus 9½ furlongs wide, and, with an utmost length and breadth of 2¼ and 2 miles, attains 485 feet at Torr Mor, 119 at Dunagoil, and 517 at Suidhe Plantation, near the SW shore of Kilchattan Bay.
