Maam-Suil or Mam-Sodhail, a mountain on the mutual border of Kintail parish, Ross-shire, and Kilmorack parish, Inverness-shire, 2¾ miles NNW of the head of Loch Affric. It rises to an altitude of 3862 feet above sea-level; has remarkably numerous species of plants; is believed to retain more perennial snow than any other mountain in Great Britain; and commands an extensive and very impressive view.Ord.
