Megginch Castle, a mansion in Errol parish, Perthshire, 6½ furlongs WNW of Errol station, this being 111 miles E of Perth. Built by Peter Hay in 1575, it is the seat of John Murray Drummond, Esq. (b. 1803 ; sue. 1849), who holds 1000 acres in the shire, valued at £2041 per annum.—Ord. Sur., sh. 48, 1868.
