Meethill, a conical eminence (181 feet) in Peterhead parish, Aberdeenshire, 1¼ mile SSW of the town. It seems to be partly artificial, and in feudal times was probably a seat of justice ; but in digging the foundation of a tower, which was built upon it to celebrate the passing of the Reform Bill of 1832, a stone crypt was found on its summit, containing a funeral urn. —Ord. Sur., sh. 87, 1876.
