Parish of Drainie Drainie is a coastal parish, which lies in Moray Council Area, some 4 miles (6 km) north of Elgin and 13 miles (21 km) northeast of Forres in Moray.It is located in the old county of Moray, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 28.3 sq. km (10.9 sq. miles).
