Parish of Kirkmichael Kirkmichael is a parish, which lies in Moray Council Area, some 13 miles (21 km) north of Braemar in Aberdeenshire and 15 miles (24 km) east of Aviemore in Highland.It is located in the old county of Banffshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 305.8 sq. km (118 sq. miles).
