Boleskine and Abertarff is a parish, which lies in Highland Council Area, some 5 miles (9 km) east of Fort Augustus and 19 miles (30 km) west of Kingussie in Highland.
It is located in the old county of Invernessshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 475.7 sq. km (183.6 sq. miles). Boleskine and Abertarff has 6 neighbouring parishes; namely Daviot & Dunlichity, Dores, Kilmonivaig, Laggan, Moy & Dalarossie and Urquhart & Glenmoriston. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
