Parish of Murroes Murroes is a parish, which lies in Angus Council Area, some 5 miles (7 km) northeast of Dundee in Dundee City and 6 miles (9 km) north of Newport-on-Tay in Fife.It is located in the old county of Forfarshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 23.7 sq. km (9.1 sq. miles).
