Parish of Dunblane and Lecropt

Dunblane and Lecropt is a parish, which lies on the River Forth in Stirling Council Area, some 6 miles (10 km) north of Stirling in Stirling and 9 miles (15 km) northwest of Alloa in Clackmannanshire.

It is located in the old county of Perthshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 92.9 sq. km (35.9 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of Dunblane. Dunblane and Lecropt has 7 neighbouring parishes; namely Alva, Ardoch, Blackford, Kilmadock, Kincardine, Logie and Muthill. The boundaries of this parish were modified as a consequence of the Local Government (Scotland), 1894.
