Parish of Inverchaolain Inverchaolain is a coastal parish, which lies in Argyll and Bute Council Area, some 7 miles (11 km) west of Dunoon and 9 miles (14 km) north of Rothesay in Argyll and Bute.It is located in the old county of Argyllshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 120.5 sq. km (46.5 sq. miles).
