Parish of Torryburn

Torryburn is a small coastal parish, which lies in Fife Council Area, some 4 miles (7 km) west of Dunfermline in Fife and 8 miles (12 km) northeast of Polmont in Falkirk.

It is located in the old county of Fife, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 13.9 sq. km (5.3 sq. miles). Torryburn has Carnock, Culross and Dunfermline as its neighbouring parishes. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
