Parish of Kilbarchan

Kilbarchan is a parish, which lies on the River Clyde in Renfrewshire Council Area, some 5 miles (8 km) west of Paisley in Renfrewshire and 7 miles (12 km) southwest of Clydebank in West Dunbartonshire.

It is located in the old county of Renfrewshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 36.7 sq. km (14.1 sq. miles). Kilbarchan has 6 neighbouring parishes; namely Erskine, Houston & Killellan, Inchinnan, Kilmacolm, Lochwinnoch and Paisley.
