Parish of Carrington

Carrington is a small parish, which lies in Midlothian Council Area, some 3 miles (5 km) south of Bonnyrigg and 4 miles (7 km) east of Penicuik in Midlothian.

It is located in the old county of Midlothian, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 17.7 sq. km (6.8 sq. miles). Carrington has 5 neighbouring parishes; namely Borthwick, Cockpen, Lasswade, Penicuik and Temple.
