Parish of Dolphinton Dolphinton is a small parish, which lies in South Lanarkshire Council Area, some 10 miles (17 km) west of Peebles in the Scottish Borders and 12 miles (20 km) southwest of Penicuik in Midlothian.It is located in the old county of Lanarkshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 14.4 sq. km (5.5 sq. miles).
