Parish of Walston Walston is a small parish, which lies in South Lanarkshire Council Area, some 12 miles (19 km) west of Peebles in the Scottish Borders and 14 miles (22 km) east of Carluke in South Lanarkshire.It is located in the old county of Lanarkshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 17.6 sq. km (6.8 sq. miles).
