Parish of Fetlar

Fetlar is an island parish, which lies in Shetland Council Area, some 22 miles (35 km) northeast of Brae and 32 miles (52 km) north of Lerwick in Shetland.

It is located in the old county of Shetland, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 41.4 sq. km (15.9 sq. miles). The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
