Parish of Dalry

Dalry is a parish, which lies in Dumfries and Galloway Council Area, some 14 miles (23 km) west of Thornhill and 15 miles (24 km) south of Kirkconnel in Dumfries and Galloway.

It is located in the old county of Kirkcudbrightshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 140.3 sq. km (54.1 sq. miles). Dalry has 8 neighbouring parishes; namely Balmaclellan, Carsphairn, Glencairn, Kells, New Cumnock, Penpont, Sanquhar and Tynron.
