Model. Born in Glasgow and brought up in Ayr and Inverbervie, Hume signed for a Glasgow-based modelling agency at the age of only 16. Subsequently the 1.8m (5 foot 11 inch) blonde has been in enormous demand, in the vanguard of a new class of super-models and undertaking advertising campaigns for Chanel, the Gap and Gucci.
She moved to the USA, living first in New York before heading west to Los Angeles.
In 1997, Hume married model and musician Donovan Leitch, the son of Glasgow-born folk singer Donovan (b.1946), on the banks of Loch Lomond.
