Drummond Fish Farm

An attraction and commercial fishery located in woodland on the right bank of the River Earn, the Drummond Trout Farm and Fishery lies 1¼ miles (2 km) west of Comrie in Perth and Kinross. Opened in 1993, the centre provides six pools for fly-fishing, together with nursery tanks for bringing on young fish which are supplied from around the world. Fishing tuition is provided, while children can feed the trout and see a fish-ladder on the River Earn.

The 27.2 million litres (6 million gallons) of water required daily for the farm is drawn from the river above a weir constructed in the 19th century to divert water to the Mill of Ross. The farm produces 80 tonnes of rainbow trout annually, sold through the farm shop, farmers' markets and retail outlets.
