Greenside Reservoir

A small reservoir in the Kilpatrick Hills of West Dunbartonshire, Greenside is located 3 miles (5 km) north northwest of Clydebank and 5½ miles (9 km) east southeast of Alexandria. Opened in 1897 for the supply of drinking-water and retained by an earth embankment dam, it is now operated by Scottish Water. The reservoir covers an area of 14.2 ha (35 acres).
