Polmadie Bridge

A pre-stressed concrete footbridge which crosses the River Clyde between the recreation grounds at the southeastern end of Glasgow Green and Polmadie Road to the south, the Polmadie Bridge was built 1954-55 and comprises five spans.

The first bridge here was built in 1901 with timber salvaged from the temporary bridge which was used during the construction of Glasgow Bridge, but this burned down.
