Douglas Park Course

A picturesque parkland golf course located a half-mile (1 km) east of the centre of Bearsden and 1¼ miles (2 km) south of Milngavie in East Dunbartonshire, the 18-hole Douglas Park Course extends to 5962 yards (5452m) and is par 69. The club was established by local gentlemen in 1897, who leased and drained the land, established a nine-hole course and built a simple clubhouse. The course was modified in 1903, 1907 and 1933, taking on its current form in 1972. Willie Fernie (1857 - 1924) is known to have been involved in the design of the course.

A larger clubhouse was built in 1903, this was refurbished in 1911 and then replaced by the current clubhouse in 1938.

The Roman Antonine Wall runs through course, passing alongside the 15th green, then forming a ridge to the 13th green.
