Loch Turret Reservoir

The Loch Turret Reservoir lies close to the head of Glen Turret, 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Ben Chonzie and 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Crieff in Perth and Kinross Council Area. This is a substantial reservoir, extending to an area of 153.1 ha (378 acres). Impounded by an earth embankment dam, it opened in 1964. It is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water. The Turret Burn flows through the loch.
