Woodburn Reservoir

A small reservoir on the course of the Wood Burn in East Dunbartonshire, Woodburn Reservoir lies on the slopes of Brown Hill, 1¼ miles (2 km) northeast of Milton of Campsie. Constructed in 1868 to supply drinking water to Kirkintilloch, it is impounded by an earth embankment dam. A water works lies just below the reservoir, with now-disused overflow reservoirs a quarter-mile (0.4 km) to the southwest.
