Learney House

A B-listed Scots-Baronial country house and sporting estate in the Cromar district of Aberdeenshire, Learney lies a mile (1.5 km) to the north of the village of Torphins. The house was built c.1747, rebuilt and extended after a fire in 1838, with further work undertaken in 1847 and 1868. It still retains some 18th-century panelling and the dining room features its original 1840 decoration. The estate extends to 2832 ha (7000 acres).
