Black Mount

An estate and shooting lodge on the north shore of Loch Tulla in Argyll and Bute. The estate extends northwards into the uplands of the same name. Once the property of the Marquesses of Breadalbane, it was acquired by financier Robert Fleming (1845 - 1933) in the late 1920s and went on to serve as the Highland retreat for his grandson, author Ian Fleming, whose brother Peter Fleming died while deer stalking on the estate in 1971. The estate extends to 32,375 ha (80,000 acres).
