Holmwood House

Built in 1858 by Alexander "Greek" Thomson, Holmwood House sits northeast of Greenbank Garden, Clarkston, within East Renfrewshire and is regarded as Thomson's finest domestic building. Built for James Coupar, who owned the Millholm Paper Mill on the White Cart Water, it is classically Greek inspired with ornate designed rooms in plaster, marble and wood.

Holmwood House is maintained by the National Trust for Scotland.
